There is a lot that confuses me. Why do we park in a place called a drive way when it sounds like the perfect place to drive on? Why do we drive on a park way where it sounds like a place where we should park our car? I’m sure I’m not the only one who is baffled by the names of those. But the thing that not only confuses me but bothers the crap out of me is why do bikers insist on not riding in the bike lane? You know the lane that was created purely for those who are riding on a bike. Why is it so bad to ride in that lane that was made just for them?
I know I might seem like I’m being kind of harsh and if you are one of these people that does this don’t be offended, I hope it gives you a whole new view on the bike lane. I would feel special, I would feel important, a whole lane made for just me? Just my kind of people? They don’t make roller-blading lanes, or jogging lanes, or running lanes. There is a biker lane for bikers and the side walk is just for all of those other boring ways to get around. I might even accept a bike rider on the sidewalks but why the streets?! Are bike riders’ napoleon complexes so strong that they think they’re like the big boys? You all aren’t driving an 18-wheeler, you’re not even behind the wheel of a 1991 Honda Civic for heaven’s sake, you’re on a bike! One of them is bad enough, but it’s even worse when seventeen of them decide to team up and take up the roads! I have a great idea; I think all bike riders should chip in and make their own roads, since you guys hate riding in the bike lane so much. You should charge an entrance fee to your own new and improved lanes and once you make enough money, I say you find Mr. Bike Lane inventor and give him some of your earnings. Since he’s probably poor because the only invention he’s ever come up with has proved to be completely unsuccessful.
Why can’t anybody just be satisfied with what they have? Or better yet, what’s made especially for them! Look at Winona Ryder, she has the riches, she has the fame, yet she had to steal thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from a store. Americans now-a-days seem so into just going for bigger and better. Appreciate what you have, I think it’ll work out better for you in the long run, especially if what you have was made just for you.
